Shelley (Michelle) Aspden, 500ERYT

Cheshire

Shelley is an E-RYT 500 hour Yoga Alliance accredited teacher and teacher trainer.

After completing 7 months of chemotherapy in 2010, she explored yoga as a form of rehabilitation. The practice provided her with the tools to transform her life, helping her to heal physically, mentally and spiritually. Realizing that she had many more layers of trauma from childhood that needed to be healed, she began to delve deeper into Yoga.

Her passion for teaching was developed when she attended Tribe-Yoga’s 200hr TTC in Goa, 2012. The teachings, the practice, and the energy opened her eyes to her dream, her true path; to teach yoga. In 2014, she attended another Tribe Yoga 200hr TTC as an assistant teacher. She has also studied intensively with Magic Pond Raja Yoga school in Seoul and Agama school in Thailand. In August 2016, she completed the 500hr TTC with Tribe Yoga. Shelley is now a Tribe Yoga Teacher Trainer and delivers training at her studio, the Ministry of Yoga in Cheshire, UK, and across the world.

She has completed CPD training in Yoga for Stress and Anxiety, PTSD with the Minded Institute. She has completed the Yoga4Health GP referral training with the Yoga in Healthcare Alliance and has started a 2-year training with Yoga Campus to become a Yoga Therapist. Now completing the Level 1 BBM training, her repertoire of skills to support herself and others is blossoming.

Shelley's dream is to develop the Ministry of Yoga into a center for all, sharing Yoga and other holistic practices that promote health and well being on a physical, mental and emotional level.
