Jean Bosco Niyonzima, MD, MA

Dr Jean Bosco Niyonzima is the co-founder of and Executive Director for the Ubuntu Center for Peace, providing the team with leadership, strategic direction, coaching and mentorship and leading fundraising efforts and strategic partnerships. He has over 12 years of leadership and management experience in international development and humanitarian contexts, having worked in 7 African countries for different organizations. Jean Bosco is a Rwandan medical doctor who graduated from the National University of Rwanda and holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and a diploma in the Psycho-social Foundations of Peace-building from SIT Graduate Institute, Brattleboro, Vermont.
Jean Bosco dreams of healed society where individually and collectively healed citizens are empowered to responsibly build a sustainable society. Empowered by BBM practices, he is committed to integrated BBM into the community-based social healing model along with storytelling and rituals implemented by Ubuntu Center for Peace in the community, conduct research, advocate for and leverage strategic partnerships including the Ministries of Health, of Education and of Unity and Civic Engagement for scale up across Rwanda and beyond.
