Qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1991 and specialised in paediatrics in 1995. This includes supporting children with a range of conditions such as DCD, dyspraxia, ASD, ADHD and Developmental Delay.
Set up and has managed RISE NI BHSCT since 2007. This is a multi-professional health service which supports children in mainstream primary schools and works to reduce underachievement by optimising children’s access to learning within the educational environment and to foster health, well-being and social inclusion and improve the life chances of children. This unique service looks at the child holistically to ensure that the right support is provided at the right time for children and their families. It looks at what the impact of concerns are for the child and provides support and education for children, teachers and families, strongly focusing on understanding our children and changing how we support them to help them thrive and achieve in life.
