Emily Agnew, Certified Facilitator for Focusing and Inner Bonding

Rochester, NY

I’m a certified facilitator for Focusing and Inner Bonding©, and a Certified Level-1 Instructor for Breath-Body-Mind. I live in Rochester, New York and work online with clients 1:1 and in small courses. My clients are like me: creative and sensitive. We thrive when we are connected to ourselves and to our spiritual intuition, but if these connections are shaky, we easily get overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed.

In my first career, I got paid to hold my breath: I was a professional oboist for thirty years. I performed with a number of orchestras, including the Honolulu Symphony and the Rochester Philharmonic. I loved playing, but I struggled with audition anxiety so crippling that I spent all my free time searching for ways to overcome it. In the process, I mastered the practices I now offer to clients.

Slowly but surely, I found more peace and joy. Only recently, though, have I begun to perceive how much the breath-holding habits I developed during my music career contributed to the anxiety I felt all those years. So I am particularly excited to have found Breath-Body-Mind. In a remarkably short time practicing B-B-M, I’ve experienced how rapidly these practices can transform old physical and emotional patterns. Combined with the inner relationship work of Focusing and Inner Bonding, B-B-M can help you create lasting change as you dissolve your anxiety, increase your self-connection, and strengthen your spiritual intuition.
