Lisa is a psychologist and yoga teacher in Australia with a strong interest in breath-work, trauma sensitive yoga and mindfulness-based approaches. She works in private practice as a counselor with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, chronic pain, grief and loss issues, sleep problems and people with a history of trauma.
After completing Level 1 BBM training, Lisa ran several six-week BBM programs for the local community, as well as for clients with anxiety and depression. Weekend BBM courses are now offered at least once a year, with the assistance of two other Level 1 BBM teachers. There are plans to run BBM courses with specific groups in the community, for example, people with cancer and survivors of childhood abuse. Three local psychologists have attended a BBM workshop now and Lisa hopes to train health professionals in BBM in Australia.
